CASA LUNA - The Moon House
Casa Luna offers a private, open-air stay set within the treetops, just 12 km from San Juan del Sur. Positioned along a ridge above the Pacific, the home looks out across jungle canopy and ocean, with wildlife moving through the surrounding forest.
Located within one of Central America’s largest private wildlife corridors, encounters with howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, parrots, and hummingbirds are part of the experience. During the winter months, humpback whales can also be seen offshore.
The home includes four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, designed for both comfort and airflow. High ceilings, tiled floors, and a full screen system allow for a constant breeze, while air conditioning and hot water are available in all main bedrooms. A separate casita offers a more natural sleeping environment.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with woodwork crafted from reclaimed and sustainable timber. Indoor and outdoor living spaces flow together, opening onto a large terrace with expansive views. Wi-Fi, workspace, and a battery backup system support longer stays and remote work.
An 18 meter lap pool sits just outside, surrounded by jungle and ocean views, with a shaded palapa for rest during the day. The home is a short drive from nearby surf breaks and local beaches, and guests have access to a meet and greet service to assist with planning activities and logistics.
Access is via country dirt roads within the community, and a four wheel drive vehicle is required. With the newly paved Costanera highway, travel time to and from San Juan del Sur is typically under 15 minutes. Secure parking and 24 hour gated security are provided.
Whether for a longer stay, time with family, or a quieter reset, Casa Luna offers a setting shaped by its environment.
