asa de Mono, known as The Monkey House, is one of the original homes in Balcones de Majagual and remains a guest favourite. Set within the treetops, the home offers a private, ocean view stay within an eco-conscious community.

Positioned for privacy along the hillside, the home looks out across the jungle and toward the Pacific, with no direct sightlines to neighbouring homes. Sunsets stretch across the horizon, while the sound of the ocean carries through the landscape.

Wildlife is a constant presence. Howler monkeys move through the trees, birds pass overhead, and the surrounding forest shapes the rhythm of each day.

The home is designed to blend into its environment, built using local hardwoods and stone with a focus on green building practices. It features two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, accommodating up to four guests, making it well suited for couples, families, or friends.

A fully equipped kitchen, gas BBQ, and covered outdoor dining area create an easy flow for meals and time spent outside. The private pool and natural stone outdoor shower offer a place to cool off and reset after a day of surfing or exploring.

The home includes wireless internet, a flat screen TV, solar heated hot water, and a battery backup system to ensure comfort during occasional outages.
